person的用法1：person的基本意思是相对于animal或thing而言的“人”。用来表示具有某种个性或特性的人时,是可数名词,其复数形式为people;也可指已知的或非特指的人;还可指少量的人或具体人数,主要作法律用语,此时其复数形式为persons。

people和person的用法区别

1、单复数含义不同

person是个体名词，它泛指man，woman或child中的任何一个，其复数形式是persons，但人们习惯用people代替persons。

people作“人”讲时，是集合名词，表复数概念。说“一个人”时，不用people。当表示两个以上的人时，可用people。

2、可数名词与不可数名词
